XKAI was born on the island of Maui, where the ocean and adventure are part of everyday life.

Growing up, I had the rare privilege of watching my father surf some of the world’s biggest waves at Peʻahi (Jaws). From an early age, I spent time out at the break, eventually becoming involved in water safety and learning firsthand how critical preparation is when something goes wrong.

Those experiences sparked a deep passion for helping others and led me to pursue training in emergency medicine. Through that training—combined with years spent in extreme ocean environments—I began to recognize a serious gap: many emergencies happen far from immediate medical care, where even trained responders may take time to arrive.

XKAI Medical Kits were created to help bridge that gap.

Working alongside trained professionals, I carefully developed and curated essential tools designed to respond effectively to injuries in remote and high-risk environments—whether in the ocean, on the trail, or anywhere help may be delayed.

We started with the Angel Kit, a compact and versatile option built for everyday preparedness. It’s designed to go wherever you go—your car, backpack, surf bag, or camping gear—so you’re always ready when the unexpected happens.

From there, we introduced the Guardian Kit, a larger, waterproof trauma kit designed for more extreme situations, where having advanced equipment readily available can make a life-saving difference.

At XKAI, our mission is simple: to give people the tools and confidence to act when every second matters.

Because when help is far away, preparation isn’t optional—it’s everything.
